Digs invade: It’s all change in Fallowfield!

Weston Court and Beechwood House and Gardens are under new management!! It’s all change in Manchester and most definitely for the better!

The new team go by the name of Digs, with several properties across the UK including Sheffield, Newcastle, London and Lincoln already under their wings, 99% occupancy rates and enviable rebooking figures these guys know a thing or two about making students happy. Although superpowers might not be quite what they have, (however they’d definitely look dazzling in a cape) they are traveling at the speed of light to complete the transformation!

Their ethos has always been to make a home of home for their residents, to build a community that people want to be part of and be proud of. ‘This Is Your Place” is the motto and they makes sure their students don’t feel like just a number.

The two properties are old favourites in the Manchester student communities, with well-equipped apartments and fantastic facilities and surroundings makes Digs Manchester a perfect place to lay your hat. With Digs swooping in and using their wealth of experience to repackage Weston Court and Beechwood, presenting a value for money option for students studying in Manchester, with high speed broadband, inclusive rents, secure and maintained properties. Not forgetting having the Digs team on hand whenever residents might need them and the invitation to become part of the Digs Student community wraps this up to be a no brainer decision.

Not interested in marketing waffle and just want to hear what current residents say about Digs? Alrighty then, let’s have a word!

Joe Blogs, Sheffield - “Choosing Digs was the best decision I ever made, it’s so hard picking where to live but they’ve made it so easy. I love my apartment, they’re always there when I need them (like when I lock myself out) and being part of the Digs family has helped me make some life long friends. I highly recommend becoming part of it!”

Jane Smith, Huddersfield – “I came out of private housing to move into a Digs apartment and thank goodness I did!! It’s much better value for money, great décor, I feel much safer and love having my friends and new friends around me!”

What is there to know about Manchester?

Manchester is arguably one of the coolest cities outside of London. Home to some of the most famous names in Music, Art, Fashion, Sport, Nightlife - you name it, Manchester’s had a hand in all of the trends.

You’ll find one of the biggest shopping centres in the UK (Trafford Centre), one of the most vibrant city centres that includes everything from high end shopping opportunities to boutique stores, craft stores, independents and probably the some of the best charity shops outside of our capital.

There are two of the world’s biggest and most famous football teams; City and United. It’s the third most visited city in the UK after London and Edinburgh. Getting around Manchester is super easy with an affordable tram network (Metrolink) and plenty of buses and trains to get you to wear you need to be.

Manchester is heavily entwined with the history of Dance music; The Hacienda Nightclub (which has now been converted into flats) was probably one of the most iconic since it’s birth in the 1980s. These roots have meant that Manchester continues to be probably one of the best cities to go out and have an amazing night… And when we say amazing, we really mean it. The Northern Quarter is especially good, with trendy bars, clubs and restaurants plus it’s to the Metro!

If you’re into performing arts, love culture and want to immerse yourself in the history of your adopted hometown then Manchester has bucket loads to keep you busy. The West End frequently heads up to entertain the crowds at venues like the Palace Theatre, The Manchester Opera House, the Royal Exchange Theatre and there’s stack loads of smaller spaces that put on intimate (and cheaper) shows for all ages to enjoy.

When it comes to Museums there’s the Museum of Science and Industry, the Manchester Art Gallery, The Manchester Museum, if you’re into Football you can visit Manchester United and Manchester City’s grounds to learn all about their past and present players, there’s the world famous Lowry Art Centre, the Manchester Jewish Museum, in fact there’s something for every part of life you want to know more about!

Manchester is a vast expanse, just like London / Greater London, there’s a Greater Manchester too. With over 2.5 million people living in Greater Manchester we will challenge you to ever being bored and ever managing to explore all of it! Close to the Pennines and the Yorkshire countryside, if town centre life ever got too much for you it’s very easy to take a trip out to the hills and not see another human being for miles, wrap up warm though if you venture out in winter as the winds can be biting!
